Field Preparation

  • 4 Players

The practice then is continued in this manner. The center player is always looking to receive the ball and pass to the open player. The outside player is always looking to pass and move to the open cone.

Exercise Drill 3

Game Situation

15 minutes

Play 3+2 vs 3+2 using an area approx 20 x 15 yards. Each team has 3 players inside the area, with the other two positioned on adjacent touchline, so that both teams’ outside players each have their own touchline. The teams score points by reverse passing to one of their touchline team mates.

Finish with a normal game in which the players should try to use the reverse pass to solve various situations: switch play, escape marker, find space, etc.
